Scrumptious Garlic Bread 香口蒜蓉包

I guarantee you this is the best homemade garlic bread you will ever experience! It’s crispy, aromatic and has layers of flavour. The best thing is that it is so simple to do and doesn’t take much effort at all. Tonight we are having pasta, garlic bread and a simple salad on the side for dinner, how about you?

Serves: Enough garlic butter for 2 full size baguettes

What you will need

  • 1 bulb of garlic
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 180g butter, diced (softened)
  • 50g mayonnaise
  • Pinch of paprika
  • 1 tsp Italian herbs
  • 1 tsp chilli flakes
  • 50g parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 baguette
  • 1 tbsp fresh basil, chopped (optional)

Let’s get cooking!

  1. Preheat the oven to 180C
  2. Cut the top off the garlic bulb, drizzle on olive oil and wrap in foil. Bake in the oven for 1 hour
  3. When cooked, squeeze the garlic cloves into a mixing bowl
  4. Add the butter, mayonnaise, paprika, Italian seasoning, chilli flakes and parmesan cheese to the bowl of garlic.
  5. Mix with a spoon until combined
  6. Slice the baguette lengthways and spread with half of the garlic mixture (refrigerate the rest for next time)
  7. Place on a baking tray and bake on the top shelf for for 15 minutes or until golden brown
  8. Sprinkle with fresh basil. Eat immediately because you won’t be able to resist it!

  • 1個大蒜
  • 1茶匙橄欖油
  • 180克牛油,切成丁 (室溫)
  • 50克蛋黃醬
  • 少量的辣椒粉
  • 1茶匙意大利香草
  • 1茶匙辣椒片
  • 50克巴馬乾酪,磨碎
  • 1個法包
  • 1湯匙新鮮羅勒,切碎(可選)


  1. 將烤箱預熱至180°C
  2. 將蒜頭切去頂部,塗上橄欖油,將蒜頭包鋁箔紙。然後放在焗爐烤1小時
  3. 煮熟後,將蒜瓣擠入攪拌碗中
  4. 將牛油,蛋黃醬,紅甜椒粉,意大利香料,辣椒薄片和帕瑪森芝士加到大蒜碗中。
  5. 用湯匙攪拌直至混合
  6. 將法式麵包直切成一半,將的蒜頭醬塗上法包面上 (餘下法包可放在雪櫃,備用)。
  7. 將塗上蒜頭醬的法包放在烤盤上,放最上面的架子上烤15分鐘,直到變成金黃色。
